Fresh-cut flavor, served with hometown care

"This place is great! We’ve tried it twice since we moved back to the area. This place is only a 10 minute walk from our house, and that’s so cool to me. It’s awesome to see a locally-owned restaurant that you can walk or bike to, it seems like everything nowadays is so car-dependent. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, a very small space with some outdoor patio tables. However, the service is great. Both times I’ve been, they’ve asked how my days been and even thrown in some free items to sample. It’s awesome to actually feel welcomed in an establishment. The sandwiches are great, they use the bread from Vitale’s Bakery (they are owned by the same family). I’ve tried the Crazy Frank (okay, not my favorite), Glendale Club (good, basic), The Steve Pastrami (really good), and The Charlie Roast Beef (excellent au jus). My only complaint is that the sandwiches are pretty bread heavy, but I just pick the bread out. Come early in the day, they sell out a ton and close early sometimes! Get a cannoli if you can, they’re great!"

"Part of this review is second hand, but we father's tend to trust our daughter's opinions and mine could speak nothing but "The Perfect Deli"..."like a little family place filled with love". Vitale's Deli was a new place for her to try, and since COVID left me in a wheelchair, I don't get out much. She's always "sharing" her foodie experiences with me. Imagine getting the message, "meet me in the living room in 2 minutes"...she was on a lunch break from work. She had a "Gracie" and handed me "The Mikey". So mouth euphoria and even some tears of just incredible food joy later, here I am. I have to post something, you have to know about this place-- Vitale's Deli. I'm told the bread comes from the sister's bakery, the crust was perfect, the bread tender and full of fresh flavor. The meats are really top quality. The salami on mine had a delicious creamy texture that melted in my mouth. The cheese was paired perfectly between the meat and bread. And whoever decided this sandwich needed "olive spread" needs a key to the city for a month!! The combinations were just incredible...I wasn't expecting a deli sandwich to evoke such feelings. It reminded me of my days with my grandmother as a child, fresh bread cut and made into great sandwiches with meat and cheese and tomato and served to me with love. This place is selling a whole lot of love with every sandwich. Thank you Vitale's Deli!! I have no doubt, visiting you is like sitting down in Grandma's kitchen. So for the rest of you needing a place to grab a sandwich...just GO THERE!! p.s.-- I should have taken a picture, but I seriously ate it before realizing people really need to know about this place!!"
